Boman, Vikings Claim Historic First Wins at Charles Bowles Willamette InvitationalPublished by
Senior Amanda Boman has been the Portland State women's cross country team's most consistent runner this season, and on Saturday, she was the class of the Charles Bowles Willamette Invitational. Boman beat out 185 other runners to win the women's 5,000-meter race at Bush's Pasture Park, becoming the first Viking to ever claim top honors at the meet, and also led the Vikings to their first-ever team victory in Salem.
