The Portland State track and field program takes a step up in competition this weekend, as the Vikings send a small group of athletes to the NCAA West Preliminary meet, May 28-30, at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin, Texas. The regional meet serves as the first step towards the NCAA Outdoor Championships, which the Vikings will be shooting to qualify athletes for for the first time since 2013.
